Our hotel has a small gallery exhibiting the art works by Jatuporn Trisuwan, the Thai artist who designed and created our room's wall painting.
Born in 1971, Jatuporn first taught himself the basics of art before studying under various art professors. In 1996, his work was shown as part of an exhibition honouring the 50th Anniversary of the Coronation of His Majesty The King of Thailand.
Jatuporn has since participateed for the Rakthai Foundation by Care. The artist usually paints in oils using reductionist concepts of reality with a particular attention to the shapes and colours of movement in water.
Jatuporn comments, "I love to watch fish swim in ponds or aquaria because as they move their colours and shapes change and this attracts me. I become focused on their inspirational beauty."
